Senior News

Milo Castro! 🎵🩷

Milo has played a multitude of instruments for marching and concert season including the trombone, tuba, euphonium, and bass clarinet! They have played the trombone for 7 years, which is also the instrument they use for jazz! Milo also made it into the NorCal Honor Band this year! Wow! 🎶

Outside of band, Milo participates in the National Science Bowl and SkillsUSA. While competing in SkillsUSA Milo beat regionals and went to states for Related Technical Math...TWICE! They are also a member of Reading Pals, a volunteer literacy program that helps young kids! 📖

In their free time, Milo enjoys hiking, biking, geography, and woodworking! 🌍

After high school, Milo wants to pursue a career in either neuroscience or biochemistry! 🥼🔬

We've loved getting to know Milo! ❤️

Isaac Calderon 🎵💚

Isaac has played trumpet for 8 years! 🎺

Outside of band, Isaac makes money working at the Raising Cane's by the mall! 💰

Isaac enjoys watching and playing basketball as well as playing poker with his friends! ♦️

After high school, Isaac plans to continue his education and go to a four year university! 🏫

Chico High Bench Refurbishment and Rehabilitation

Hey Panthers! Tired of looking for open benches at lunch, just to finally find one and the boards are missing? Have you seen one of the benches in disrepair here on campus and been tired of it? Good news!

I’m undertaking the task of campus restoration and rehabilitation for my Eagle Scout project as a member of Chico’s Boy Scout Troop 3. I’m going to replace all of the broken and missing boards on the benches on campus, including the two completely empty ones over by the S-building, at the end of the school year. I’ll also be improving the area around the bench in the second photo, but I can’t do all this by myself.

I’m asking for donations, any of which would be greatly appreciated. For those willing to donate, please put your donation in a sealed envelope, labeled “Zach Norlie - Boy Scout Troop 3”. Checks can be made out to Boy Scout Troop 3 as well. All of such donations can be dropped off at the front office with Office Manager Terry Barth-Duch. All donations must be submitted by the end of April!
