Austin ISD Weather Guidelines

Our campus carefully monitors weather conditions while students are at school. The following temperature guidelines have been established in order to provide a safe and healthy environment for students participating in outdoor activities at Austin ISD, including recess, PE, and WOW time: https://www.austinisd.org/health-services#collapse2 Please ensure that your Mountain Lion comes to school with clothing to support safe outdoor play during cold weather days in the months of December-February. First annual Frosty Fun Run and Sing-a-long coming Dec 19

Join us for the inaugural Frosty Fun Run and Sing-Along on December 19! Dress up in your most festive holiday outfits and help us kick off what we hope will become a cherished December tradition at Mills. Bring the whole family! We'll gather on the blacktop behind the school to enjoy holiday songs performed by our talented 4th graders before the Frosty Fun Run begins. After the walk/run, treat yourself to cookies and refreshments. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you!

Science Fair Info Hub

The 2025 Mills Science Fair is coming! Your Mountain Lion has been learning all about Science Fair projects during Maker Space class time.


This is an OPTIONAL opportunity for Kindergarten - 5th Grade students. Projects are due January 13. All students will be able to present their projects in class. Top projects will be up for judging on Thursday, January 16. Students will be presenting their projects to the judges on that day. Finalists will move on to the Austin Regional Science Fair.


Families are invited to view Science Fair projects after school on January 16 from 3:15pm-5pm. Students can work alone or with classmates.

Do You Know How to Access Your AISD Parent Portal?

Families of Austin ISD students can enter the portal to access their student's grades, attendance, bus routes, lunch information, and to access ENROLL AUSTIN yearly registration/application process.

How do you access Self-Serve?


Families must first log into the AISD Portal (https://portal.austinisd.org) and then select the Parent Self-Serve tile on the dashboard.

Priority Registration for SY 25-26

Enroll Austin Priority Registration opens on November 6, 2024. Families will be able to register for their SY 2025-2026 neighborhood school or to submit an application to another school, including admissions-based programs (i.e. Magnet). Be sure and choose the 2025-2026 school year when registering.
