Ice Age Fossils State Park and the Protectors of Tule Springs would like to invite all K-12 students to participate in an art contest celebrating Nevada’s Prehistoric Past. This contest is open to all students in Clark County, Nevada. Original artwork must be submitted to Ice Age Fossils State Park between March 1-14, 2025, and will be put on public display until the award celebration April 5th. The winners will be announced at the art contest award celebration on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at Ice Age Fossils State Park. All prizes will be awarded at the celebration event. Gifts will be given to all students who submitted artwork to the contest and are present for the awards. Students and their families can begin arriving at 9:00 am to enjoy the event activities and the ceremony will start at 11:00 am.

Ice Age Fossils State Park is open Wednesday through Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the last entry to the park at 4:00 pm when the visitor center closes. The park address is 8660 N. Decatur Blvd., North Las Vegas, NV 89085. Please see attached for more information and direct any questions to Dawn Reynoso at dreynoso@parks.nv.gov.

The Family Engagement Committee is thrilled to host a live Google Meet session on February 28th, with two time slots available: 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

We will introduce our committee members during this central meeting and explain the event's purpose. We’ll start with a fun icebreaker activity and share valuable family resources to encourage connection.

Afterward, we’ll have breakout rooms for various interactive games, providing students and families with a fun space to engage in virtual games together. Suggested games for the breakout rooms include:
