Greetings Mariners!
This is the last week of school before winter break. I want to wish all of our students the best of luck on their end of course exams. We will have minimum days for th rest of the week. Please check the WAAG for details.
We also have a spirit week this week and we will finish the semester with an assembly before we send students off to their break.

If your student chooses to ride their bike, skateboard, or scooter to school. They must secure them in the storage area located by the library and by the new gym. They will not be allowed on campus. We do have skateboard lockers and chains available, but students must bring their own lock. Any standard combination lock will work for the skateboard lockers. Mar Vista High is not responsible for theft or vandalism of these transportation items.

If your student is absent due to a medical reason or appointment, please email a screenshot or scan of the doctor’s note with the above information to David.delrio@sweetwaterschools.org . Emails will only be accepted to excuse absences if they are sent from a parent or guardian’s email address on file in infinite campus.

Scholarship of the Week: Burger King Scholars
The BK℠Scholars program, have awarded nearly $60 million to over 51,000 deserving students across North America. Our goal is to grant one scholarship for every BK® restaurant — that’s more than $7 million each year!
Scholarships range from $1,000 to $60,000 and are intended to offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected through an application process that takes into consideration their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities, community service, and financial need.
