Hello Fellow panther staff -

I don't want to steal the spotlight or anything but I definitely wanted to take a minute to humble brag and give a shout out!! Cristiana and her wonderful theater and choir department put on a spectacular Culture Fair yesterday! There was music and dancing, singing and workshops, crafts galore and delicious food full of culture and love - festivities to be enjoyed by all ages! I attended as a parent, supporting my talented sophomore and a teacher, supporting our 18 Art Department student helpers. The CHS Art Department had the privilege of sharing in these festivities this weekend, offering printmaking, mask making and mosaic workshops, henna, and sales of beautiful student artwork from glass, photography and ceramics. Our students have been hustling in preparation for this event and worked throughout the day - and their hard work paid off! So many student artworks were sold making these student artists so excited, as I'm sure you can imagine! My glass design students tended to the art workshop booth (which was flocked with people from noon to 5:45), helping small toddlers decorate masks, and adventurous children and adults make prints and mosaic coasters. These students were kind, patient, helpful and all-around amazing teachers. I couldn't be prouder.

This event was definitely a 10 out of 10 and I've only scratched the surface of the amazing things that were there - this is just my little note of appreciation for the Art Department students. More details to follow, I'm sure 😁 thank you again for bringing so much love, culture, and happiness Cristiana!

Government & Econ Classes

Judge Lucena and Judge Rodriguez came to Chico High today to talk to our seniors in all the Government and Econ classes. Students got to participate in a jury simulation, talk about their rights as young adults, and look at some interesting legal cases. We also had the opportunity to have our Student Government officers sworn in by both judges. It was very special. ❤️🐾💛
