Principal's Message

Dear Bannes School Community,

We are off to a fantastic start this school year, hitting the ground running from day one! Our students have shown such dedication, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and positive energy. It’s been amazing to see them embrace new challenges, engage in their learning, and support one another both inside and outside the classroom. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear that they are eager to grow, learn, and make the most of every opportunity. We’re excited to see the growth that lies ahead as we continue building a strong foundation for success this year!

A few important dates and reminders for this month:

Picture Day: Mark your calendars! Picture Day will be on September 19th. We can’t wait to see all of our students’ smiling faces.
Book Fair: Our Book Fair will be coming soon! Keep an eye out for promotions and details as we get closer to the event.
Bobcat of the Week: We are excited to have celebrated our first Bobcat of the Week! This recognition highlights students who exemplify our school values. We look forward to honoring many more outstanding students throughout the year.
Hot Lunch Substitution Forms: Please remember to send in your Hot Lunch Substitution Form if needed. Ensuring we have this information helps our lunch program run smoothly for your child.
Birthday Treat Forms: The Birthday Treat Forms are due by Wednesday, September 11th. This helps us ensure that all celebrations are safe and enjoyable for everyone.
PTO Meeting: Our first PTO Meeting of the year is also on September 11th. It will be held in the conference room from 7 - 8 pm. We encourage parents and guardians to attend and get involved with our amazing PTO!

Patriot Day

Students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday, September 11, in observance of Patriot Day.

National Walk & Roll to School Day

D140 families are encouraged to walk or bike to school together on Wednesday, October 9, in celebration of National Walk & Roll to School Day.

This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourages greater engagement and connection with the District. Families can choose their language preference and indicate how and when they want to receive information (email, text, and/or app notifications).
