Virtual Family Updates on Our Move to the Swing Space...Dec 3rd and Dec. 17th!

We are excited to invite you to two upcoming virtual meetings on Tuesday, December 3rd, and Tuesday, December 17th, at 6 PM as we prepare for the move into our swing space during Winter Break. These sessions will provide important updates on the transition and address any questions you may have.
We recognize this is a significant change, and we want to keep you informed every step of the way. There are many moving parts to this process, and your partnership and understanding are essential as we navigate this transition together. As we prepare for our temporary move to the swing space at 810 26th Street NE in January 2025, we need your input to create an effective transportation plan! 🚌
DCPS will provide bus transportation between the current campus and the swing space, but we need your help to ensure smooth operations.

Join Hill Family Biking for Little Riders on Sat, 11/23, 1030AM to 1230PM.
This ride is designed for riders ages 2-6 on trikes, balance bikes, training wheel and first pedal bikes. This is a shorter route, approximately 1 mile starting and ending at Lincoln Park by the Lincoln statue. After the ride, Library to Go-Go (AKA the Book Bike) librarian Megan McNitt, will lead story times with bike and Thanksgiving themed books.
Older siblings are welcome to ride along, but are asked to either stay behind or ride alongside their younger sibling(s). For more information, go to November 23rd Littles Kidical Mass.
Sign Up to Help Teachers and Staff Pack Up For the Move!
Are you available to help teachers pack up their classrooms over the next month before the move to our swing space? There will be a school-wide community service day to help pack on Saturday, Dec. 7. Additionally, teachers may need help at other dates and times. Please fill out this form to sign up to help. There will be a special sneak peek for families attending the winter performance on Dec. 5 and 6. Thursday, Dec. 12 is also literacy night (with shopping until 6:30 p.m.).
We need volunteers to assist students and families, organize books, and help with checkout and cashier duties. If you are available to work a shift, please sign-up here!

This holiday season, please consider giving your time, talent and treasures to support our Cardinal students, families and staff, and to help us reach our $10,000 giving goal.
If you’re considering donating to the clothing and toy drive, the most requested sizes are 5-6, 7-8, 10-12 for both boys and girls and items are hoodies/sweatshirts, long-sleeve shirts and pants. Popular toy asks include Barbie, LOL Dolls, action figures, Spiderman, Sonic, Mario, remote control vehicles, art and science kits and educational games. More details to come!
