The Innovator 💡
Week of: September 16- September 20
Dear Innovator Families,
8th and 10th grade students will take the PSAT at the NVLA building on the following dates:
October 1st – 4th
October 7th – 10th
Please sign up your child https://forms.gle/bpYpdJeFheuFCRvD7 by Friday, September 13, 2024.
[STUDENT_NAME], must check in by 8:00 AM on their scheduled test day. The PSAT gives students a preview of the SAT, a test often required for college applications, and helps our counselors plan student coursework. High scores may also qualify students for scholarships, including the National Merit Scholarship.
The test is free for all students, thanks to CCSD’s support. If students are not signed up by September 13, 2024, the school may assign a test date, as all 8th and 10th graders must participate.
The test lasts about 3 hours, and students will be ready for pick-up by noon.
Thank you,
NVLA Testing Team
The College Savings Division within the Nevada Treasury is proud to announce its 4th annual “What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up” Art Contest.
The contest encourages Nevada students in Pre-K through 12th grades to use their artistic skills and creativity to produce a work of art demonstrating what they’d like their future career to be, all while getting them and their families excited about post-secondary education.
Submissions will be open from August 12th until October 13th, 2024. Contest entries should follow the prompt “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Three winners from each grade level will receive a $1,000, $500 or $250 prize deposited into a Future Path 529 college savings account.
All individual student submissions can be uploaded to our website //www.nvigate.gov/contest. Teachers that wish to enter bulk submissions on behalf of their students and school can send an email to artcontest@nevadatreasurer.gov for instructions and assistance.
