Dear Field Parents and Guardians,

Happy Summer! As we wrap up the 2023-2024 school year, we thank you for your partnership and support this year. We are so proud of our Field students in all that they have learned and accomplished. To our 5th graders, we know you'll continue to make us proud as you transition to Emerson Middle School. And we look forward to welcoming around 90 new kindergarteners this fall. In the meantime, we hope the summer months are filled with fewer alarm clocks and more fun in the sunshine!

A few important reminders are listed below:

• Students in grades 2-5 will keep their Chromebooks over the summer this year. You are welcome to view this student-created video about expectations and use.

• The school calendar for next school year (2024-2025) is published on the District website: https://www.d64.org/about/calendar-overview. Please be sure to review it prior to making summer plans. Students first day of school is August 14th.

• You can access your child's report card via these instructions: PowerSchool Parent Portal Directions to see Report Cards. Trimester 3 report cards will be available June 13th online.

• Our school office is closed for most of the summer - it reopens at the start of August.

• This is my last Field Flash of the year. You can expect a summer communication in late July/early August.

It’s time to sort out school supplies! The Field Green Team would like to encourage all families to help students sort through their school supplies by

1. Reusing as many of their school supplies as possible for the next school year. Check out these lists.

2. Donating any gently used school supplies like notebooks, folders, writing & drawing utensils, rulers, pencil cases, etc. Field School will have a donation box inside near the office. We will also have a drop box at 12 N. Merrill June 6th-June 14th and will take the items to Scarce an organization who works to reduce waste and give back to students everywhere.

3. Recycling all paper products (notebooks/folders). Just make sure to remove any metal parts.

Our Field Girls Running Club met once a week in preparation for a 5K. 34 girls completed the 5K last weekend! Way to go!

Registration for Worlds of Wonder - Summer 2024 is now open!

WOW registration will close on Monday, June 3rd, 2024.

Classes for students who have completed K-3 will be held at Washington Elementary School, while classes for students who have completed 4-7 will be held at Lincoln Middle School.

• Session 1: Wednesday, June 12 - Friday, June 28 (No School Wednesday, June 19)

• Session 2: Monday, July 1 - Friday, July 19 (No School Wednesday July 3, Thursday, July 4, or Friday, July 5).

• Registration link for WOW 2024 at Lincoln Middle School (4-7)

• June 13: Report cards will be available online for parents
  
• August 8: New family orientation and tour (incoming K-5th grade) at 9am
• August 14: First day of school!
