Peirce's Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP) is typically a 2 year document which details the schools plan for improvement.

This plan was written to span the 2020-2022 school years. The school uses this framework to create school priorities as they relate to student achievement, instructional practices and family and community involvement. Due to COVID 19 and the changes in school throughout the pandemic, CPS allowed schools to keep their CIWP for an additional year. The 2020-2022 is still relevant to the needs of the school and the current plan will be active through June 30, 2023.

Peirce Spring Fling - Friday May 20th, 5:00 - 6:30pm

We welcome all Peirce kids and families to join us for our school dance on May 20th from 5:00pm-6:30pm. There will be light snacks, beverages, crafts, music and dancing! The Primary grades will enjoy the Cafeteria while the Middle grades enjoy the Gymnatorium. There will be a $1/kid suggested donation at the door. All children must have an adult responsible for them during the event.

Are you a new family to Peirce who lives within the attendance boundary? Now is the time to begin registration!

Enrollment Forms

The form below is to only be filled out if your child will be entering Peirce School for the first time. Kndg.-7th grade parents that already have their child(ren) attending Peirce do not need to re-register. Someone from the main office will be contacting you via email with enrollment forms.

We are planning for the upcoming school year. If you are planning to move during the summer and need to transfer your child to another school, please fill out this form ASAP, so we may prepare the necessary paperwork. This form is only for students currently enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through 7th grade.

Move-a-Thon is back after a 2-year hiatus! On Wednesday, June 1, all Peirce students and staff will engage in a school-wide fundraising walk! Funds raised will support arts partnerships for every grade level.

On Friday, May 13, 2022 Move-A-Thon letters and permission slips went home in backpack mail. Attached below you will also find the CPS Water Policy (which will also go home via backpack mail on Monday).

Prizes!

We will have weekly prize drawings leading up to Move-a-Thon. Each student who has participated by submitting donations (either online or through cash/check) will be entered! We have a variety of prizes available to encourage student participation and to help us reach our goals. We have three goals:

• To have fun moving and celebrating during Move-a-Thon!

• To have 100% participation, which means all students participate with a donation of ANY size!

• To reach $30,000 in funds raised for Peirce!

Is your child interested in giving a Peirce staff member a shout out? Have them login with their CPS username/password and complete this form.

Increase in COVID Positive Cases

The City of Chicago has seen a recent surge in the number of COVID positive cases, the same is true at Peirce. If your child is demonstrating COVID symptoms, they should stay home and be tested. Complete the CPS Self Report form if your child has a positive COVID test result.

Vaccine Rates Added to CPS COVID Dashboard

In order to provide more data to our families and school communities about the pandemic, CPS is now publishing student vaccination rates on our COVID-19 data dashboard. Vaccine numbers will be available at the District level, and families can also search for vaccine rates by their individual school.

As a result of the update to the district COVID dashboard, the internal document will no longer be updated.
