The school year Principal and Assistant Principals will be on vacation and return to the office the last week of July.
WORK PERMIT INFORMATION
The following regulations apply to all minors (ages 12 through 17) in California:
- All minors work with the permission of the work permit issuing authority; nothing requires a school district to issue a permit in every circumstance.
- California labor laws are designed to protect the physical safety and scholastic advancement of the minor.
- No permit can violate any provision of law, state or federal.
- Permits are always required, including when school is not in session.
- Permits automatically expire 5 days after the beginning of the following school year and may be revoked at any time its terms are violated.
WORKING MINORS ARE REQUIRED TO:
- Maintain satisfactory school attendance
- Maintain school discipline standards
- Meet school academic standards
TO OBTAIN A WORK PERMIT:
- Minor picks up work permit application form #B1-1 from the CCHS main office or College Career Center (CCC)
- Minor completes top portion of application and parent/guardian signs document giving consent
- Employer must complete the entire middle portion of application form #B1-1
- Application is returned to the CCC
- Employer information, student age, DOB, school attendance, and grades are verified
- Approved work permit issued to minor for minor’s signature. Work permit pick up is scheduled by appointment

Volunteer with Culver City Public Theater in July
Culver City Public Theater, CCPT, is looking for student volunteers to help with their 25th season of free theatre in the park! Volunteers are needed from 10am-2pm for 8 days this summer (all weekends): July 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30.
Setup and strike down - backdrop panels, sound system, set pieces and props, tents for backstage and concessions, tables and chairs
Concession/box office stand - greeting audience, making popcorn, handling concession sales
Taking zip code surveys - asking audience where they are coming from (for grant purposes)

Parents & athletes may now complete their on-line athletic packet for the 2023-2024 school year.
CCHS Athletes must be cleared through Athletic Clearance. PARENTS must create an account on the athletic website and create clearances for all of their children. (Please do not use student’s CCUSD email addresses to create their account). Physical exam forms are to be uploaded to www.athleticclearance.com.
