Shout Outs from Parents & Students
Please use THIS LINK to provide a shout-out to a staff member who deserves a pat on the back!
Ms. Kang: My child registered for the first time this semester. Our child has been in need of the help of Kang Min-jung since before registration, after registration, the open house, and until now. I saw at a glance at the open house that you are guiding students to feel that they love them and that you are a child with hope. Kang Min-jung, who is highly respected by all parents, seems to need help for students and parents in the future. There must be a lot of students, but they solve all the very detailed problems. She really leads to a fixer. From now on, I'd like to make Kang Min-jung's nickname as a solver. Thank you so much to the school. You have such a great teacher.. ^^
Ms. Sheppard: Mrs. Sheppard is AMAZING at afternoon carpool!!! She keeps all of us organized, keeps the cars in line properly, keeps the flow moving, & she keeps the kids SAFE!! She is a ROCK STAR!!!
Ms. Sheppard: Ms Sheppard is always so friendly and efficient during afternoon carpool. It’s so hot outside and she comes out every day on time, moves the cars forward and protects the kids. Thank you for keeping the line moving and for keeping the kids safe!!!
Ms. Patorgis: Last week My daughter missed her school bus by mistake, so she had to wait me around there. I didn’t have a available car that time, and at the same time I was taking care of my young second kid, so it took much time to pick her up. Ms. Patorgis had waited by her until I arrived, checked her situation, and she helped us to come back home by her car. I has appreciated it!!
I could figure out once again that this school and staffs are very kind and sincere for students.
Media Center Volunteers - Help Wanted!

Meet Our Summit Counselor
Greetings, TRMS Community!
I would like to introduce myself as your School-Based Mental Health Therapist Nehemiah McClendon, M. ED, NCC, LAPC
I am here at your service to help your child with navigating the challenges of academic life while also addressing personal emotional needs can be overwhelming. I am returning for my second year here at TRMS and am thrilled to continue to do great and impactful work with our students. During my tenor at TRMS I have collaboratively worked with administration and teachers to provide individual, group and famly services for TRMS community.
As a therapist I Can Help:
🌟 Individualized Support: I recognize that every student is unique. With one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's personal experiences, allowing for a deep exploration of thoughts and feelings.
🌟 Anxiety and Stress Management: From exam jitters to social pressures, anxiety can take a toll on a student's well-being. I’m working to equip students with practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress effectively.
🌟 Depression Coping Skills: Depression can cast a shadow over even the brightest moments. Our therapist provides tools and techniques to help students regain a sense of control, build resilience, and find joy in their daily lives.
🌟 Emotional Awareness: Our therapist guides students in understanding their emotions, helping them to recognize triggers and respond to challenging situations in healthy ways.
🌟 Supportive Environment: Sometimes, all it takes is a listening ear. Therapy can create a judgment-free space where students can express themselves openly and honestly.
Mental health matters. I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and I’m here to help break down stigmas associated with mental health challenges. By providing an accessible platform for students to engage in conversations about their well-being, we aim to create a culture of acceptance, empathy, and understanding.
How to Get Started:
Speak to Your Child: Initiate a conversation with your child about their feelings and emotions. Let them know that our therapist is here to provide guidance and support.
Contact Us: Reach out to our school's counseling department to express your interest in connecting your child with our therapist. Our go to our website and go to our school based referral form https://summitcounseling.org/schoolbasedservices/. Confidentiality: Rest assured that all sessions are strictly confidential. Your child's privacy and well-being are our top priorities.
Let's Embrace Emotional Wellness Together!
At TRMS we believe that a strong emotional foundation is essential for academic success and personal growth. As your School-Based Mental Health Therapist I am ready to stand alongside our students, helping them navigate the challenges of life with courage and resilience.
If you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to learn more about this incredible initiative, please don't hesitate to reach out to our counseling department.
