St. Luke Weekly Memo

Leadership Message
JOY! How great is it that this is our reflection for the third week of Advent and that it is also the EICS district theme this year, “Choose Joy”! Although some things seem very challenging right we still find many ways to Choose Joy. Each day we pray as we light the Advent candle understanding that this is a time of waiting for the birth of Christ. As students learn about the lineage of Jesus through the Jesse Tree they reflect on the reason for the season. Giving joy is certainly what our school community has done this past week. The many generous donations will surely help others find some joy this season. Thank-you again for all your contributions to the Twelve Days of Giving. It truly is uplifting!
Please join us on Thursday at 6:00pm for our Advent Celebration watch party. The students have been busy preparing songs to celebrate Our Greatest Gift, the coming of our Saviour. Virtually gather your family as we celebrate the Joy of this season.
I wish you all a safe and healthy week!
Advent Wreath Prayer for Third Week of Advent
As we draw near to you, Lord God, keep us aware of your presence in all we do. Come with power to enlighten us by your grace, that we may live in praise and joy all our days.
Amen
