TSA Wings Up Weekly

Good Morning Owls,

I cannot believe we are already in December and nearing the end of an amazing first semester.

Our PCA has two different spirit night's coming up! Flyers are below!

1. Raising Cane's will donate 15% of sales on December 5th from 4-9 pm
2. Marco's Pizza will donate 20% of sales on December 14th from 10am-11pm (ALL DAY)

A few other reminders and informational items:

1. The Final Exam Calendar has been released for our December Final Exams (see below). Please note that final exams cannot be taken early. Please look over the calendar carefully and let us know if you have any additional questions.
2. Juniors and Seniors, please make sure to review the Lone Star Final Exam Schedule for classes taken. Additionally, I have attached the Pre Final tutoring schedule for Lone Star. https://www.lonestar.edu/examschedule.htm
3. The 12 days of Christmas Holiday Dress Up for our staff and students.
4. The TISD Human Sexuality opt In if you haven't already completed it.

The Juniors and Seniors received their course verification for the Spring this week. Please make sure you review this with your child. Sophomores will receive their verification next week.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

According to Texas State Law, it is mandatory for school districts to inform parents and guardians of each enrolled student about the intention to offer human sexuality instruction as part of the curriculum. This instruction is designed to address the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and intends to provide age-appropriate information to students. Human sexuality in Tomball is offered through instructional modules in the graphic.

In Tomball ISD human sexuality instruction IS NOT a component of any junior or high school course. These instructional modules are offered only with parent consent during non-instructional periods during the school day. These instructional modules will be offered in an online format through Apex learning with a classroom teacher. The human sexuality curriculum has been selected and approved by the TISD School and Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) and TISD Board of Trustees. All human sexuality material can be previewed at the Growth and Development section of the Tomball ISD SHAC website.

If you would like your child to access the human sexuality instruction, please access Home Access Center (HAC) to provide your consent by December 8, 2023

If you are interested in volunteering at TSA or any TISD facility or event, you must complete a volunteer application. Please visit the TISD website volunteer page linked HERE to complete the process.

Below is the TSA Bell Schedule for 23-24 school year. Please note that on Friday's ALL Juniors and Seniors will be dismissed at 11:15am.

Additionally, there will be 5 Fridays where we will run an Odd day schedule to accommodate district holidays. Juniors and Seniors who have TSA classes on those days will be expected to attend. The dates are 9/8, 10/13, 1/19, 2/23 and 3/22.

Please be aware… the school buses will use the same entrance/exit as everyone else. There is an officer scheduled to be on duty in the afternoon to assist with traffic flow at the 2920 junction.
