Virtual Community Event: Naperville 203 Black History Month
The Department of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging is hosting a Black History Month virtual community event featuring, Matthew Delmont, Ph.D. All are welcome to attend.
Event Date: 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 22
Topic: The Past and Future of Black History Month - Dr. Delmont will highlight hidden figures from Black history and explain why this history should be studied and celebrated not only in February but all year round.

Asbestos Management Plan Notification
In accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), the Asbestos Management Plan and Building Inspection Reports for District 203 schools are available for review, by all building users. These reports are filed at the Buildings and Grounds office located at 251 West Hillside Road. Anyone wishing to review the contents of these reports may do so by contacting Thomas Malamos at (630) 983-2233 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Student Trip: Journey Through the Galápagos
Current 8th-11th grade students have a unique opportunity to travel to the Galápagos Islands over Spring Break in 2025! This eco-driven tour offers students a firsthand learning experience of one of the most fragile ecosystems in our world. Students will discover these islands and follow in Charles Darwin’s footsteps, complete with swimming, snorkeling, and hiking alongside exotic animals!

The Rotary Club of Naperville-Senior Scholarship Opportunites
The Rotary Club of Naperville is now accepting scholarship applications from high school seniors. Scholarship applicants must live within the attendance boundaries of Naperville School District 203 or Indian Prairie School District 204 and must graduate from high school during the academic year of application. Students: Show Your Creativity & School Pride
All students are invited to create an "advertisement" for your school - a piece of art that answers the question "what makes your school special?" and features anything that is meaningful to the student about their school and school community. The artwork should represent the school.
One representative piece of art from each school will be displayed at the Building a Passion breakfast, published in an event newspaper to be distributed to the 300+ guests, and may be used in other NEF communications.

Youth Mental Health First Aid Class: March 7
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults (parents, teachers, caregivers, etc.) how to assist adolescents (age 12-18) facing mental health or addiction challenges. The course covers common issues, adolescent development, and a 5-step action plan for crisis and non-crisis situations, addressing topics like anxiety, depression, substance use, psychosis-related disorders, AD/HD, and eating disorders.
Free Monthly Mental Health Webinars: Linden Oaks offers free mental health webinars for parents with teens. Webinars will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Register Here
