Happy Winter Break! Congratulations to all of our students and families on reaching the halfway point of the school year. It's so exciting and a great opportunity to rest and recharge. We had lots of great events this past week as you can probably tell from the background. Also, be sure to check out our Staff Holiday Card as well.
This week's background features from upper left corner going clockwise, Emily was recognized as Every Student Succeeding, three pictures from Maverick Hangout, three from Hope Squad, and one from our Just Serve Club.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Principal's Message...
Holy Cow! We are halfway through the year. Amazing how quickly the year has flown by. I am seriously the luckiest man around. We have an amazing staff, with great students, and families, and get to do the best job in the world! Thank you for all of your support. We've got a lot to be proud of from new clubs at the high school to a thriving little buddies program at the K-8. I'm excited for our new Math Support program and the great instruction and gains we are seeing in math. We also had great parent workshops this year including the latest one on Thriving in Independent Study. Check out the link in case you missed it live. There is so much good stuff happening. Please take the break to rest, relax, and recharge.
Semester 2/Quarter 3 will bring lots of new faces to both our campuses as we look forward to welcoming our new Mavericks. Lastly, as I mentioned in this space last week, this is an ideal time to remind students and families about the Tustin Connect High School and TK-8 Expectations that were a part of your Master Agreement Meetings. Both are linked above. The goal of initially presenting the Expectations as well as revisiting now is to set students up for success and provide a reminder about the behaviors that set students up to be successful Mavericks.
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting one of our community leaders, Lisa Misipeka. Not only is Lisa a 3 time olympic champion, she also runs a training facility locally in Irvine and offerred to provide a free trial to any of our Tustin Connect families. She's amazing and the facility is close by. Please check out the flyer and be sure to let her know you are with Tustin Connect. It's an incredible place for our athletes or just our students looking to improve their health. As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us. Have a great weekend.
Have a wonderful break and we will see you the week of January 8th.
Mr. Fineberg
