Dr. Looney's Message
Hello and Happy Friday, parents!
I hope that you had a very productive day with your children at home as they were doing digital learning.
Reminders:
- We have tutoring every morning. Does your child need extra support? Reach out to their teachers for tutoring. Schedules are on the website.
- We are Respectful, Responsible, Role-Models. We need to have positive peer relationships. Sometimes we say things that hurt and try to cover it with "I was only kidding"; however, the damage is done. Please talk to your child about treating others with dignity. No name-calling, even in jest.
- Tomorrow is Norcross' Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration in OUR parking lot: please join us for live entertainment and good times.
Thank you for everything you do. If you need help, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Tomorrow: Norcross' Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Saturday, September 17
2:00 PM-6:00 PM
Summerour Middle School Parking Lot
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time in the U.S. from September 15th to October 15th that recognizes the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the country's history, heritage and culture. It also celebrates the independence days of several Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua on September 15th, Mexico on September 16th, Chile on September 18th and Belize on the 21st. This year, the City of Norcross is excited to join in the celebration with a first-time event - the Hispanic Heritage Celebration!
Join us on Saturday, September 17th in Norcross for festivities galore. Become immersed in the music, dances, foods, traditions and more from a variety of Hispanic countries - if you enjoyed May's Viva Mexico event and last year's Dia de los Muertos Festival, then you won't want to miss this epic convergence of cultures!
