May 8, 2023. A Year of Significance!
CES Happenings
Dear CES Family,
A couple of calendar updates that you need to be aware of regarding the next five weeks:
1) We have returned to our early release days for the remaining Mondays of the year, which means that Kindergarten is out at 1:10 and grades one through six are out at 1:20. This will be a big change for some of our families and I thank you in advance for your flexibility here. Here is the bell schedule for the remainder of the year. 2) A reminder that the last three days of the school year are minimum days. See the bell schedule or the calendar below for release times.
On another note, one of our best student field trips of the year is always the "Plumas to Pacific" or P2P field trip for our sixth-grade students. This is a four-day, culminating field trip for all of the outdoor education they have received throughout their time at CES. It really is something for all of our students to look forward to. I'd like to thank Mrs. Tantardino for all of her work to make this happen, along with Mr. Rob Wade, the Plumas County Office of Education coordinator and facilitator for this amazing student experience. The picture you see here is one of our sixth-grade students jumping off of a sand dune during the P2P trip from which they have just returned. You'll also see more great pictures of their trip in this newsletter. We have many great experiences taking place for our students, and we have pictures of those, too!
Sincerely,
Scott Cory
Principal
