Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
It was a very full week here at St. LUke. With all the wonderful Halloween activities for the students to 3 way conferences to the beautiful Remembrance Day celebrations yesterday staff and students have earned a week to relax and rejuvenate. Thank-you to all that helped, supported with donations, and came out to the activities this week.
As we head into our Fall break please take some time to reflect and honour the service and sacrifice of Canada’s military and to pray for Peace around our world.
Heavenly Father, we lift up in prayer today all those who have lost their lives and those who have served in the military sacrificing their own lives for the protection and safety of others. We are grateful for their service. May they inspire us to live selflessly in our own lives, as Christ calls us to do. As we pray for those who lost their lives in conflict throughout our history, we also recognize the ongoing war and violence that continues to plague our world in many places, many forms. Today, we pray for peace, which those we honor today fought valiantly to achieve.
Amen
Have a wonderful restful break.God Bless,
Cathy Hinger

Advent Concert Preparations
The Advent Concert is quickly approaching on Thursday, December 14 with an afternoon and an evening performance. As of October 27th, students began embracing their creative Christmas musical talents.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. If you have any props for our Christmas Nativity story with a setting in Bethlehem or the scene at the Inn, please let me know. As well, I will be distributing a list of costumes for each class. Many of these will be items that can be found readily in your home such as house coats and towels for shepherds, tinsel for angels, and other items.
As the Grade 7/8 students have prepared the script for the production, students are eager to begin auditioning for these parts. Every class will have their moment to shine. We look forward to a beautiful evening of music, dance, and the joy of the Christmas Nativity with a unique twist!
Thank you in advance for your ongoing support.
