ATTENTION 5TH GRADE FAMILIES - North Belton Middle School will be hosting their Band Tryout Night on Monday, February 5th, starting at 5:00 p.m. They encourage any and all 5th graders that are, or might be, interested in Band as an elective for 6th grade to come try all the instruments Band offers and meet the Directors!
- WHEN: Monday, February 5th, at 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

STUDENT TRANSER WINDOW OPENING FEBRUARY 12TH - The transfer window will open on February 12th - March 8th. All current transfer students must reapply for the 2024-2025 school year. Information can be found HERE. There is a new and improved process and while it will still be done electronically, all documents needed to complete the process will be required to be uploaded at the time of the application. Attendance, academic, and discipline records can be accessed and downloaded from your Skyward Family Access account. It is imperative that applications are submitted during the transfer window.
NEW ELEMENTARY ATTENDANCE BOUNDARIES FOR 2024-2025 - In March of 2023, the Belton ISD Board of Trustees adopted new elementary attendance boundaries for the 2024-25 school year. A map of 2024-25 elementary attendance boundaries is available on the district’s website. If you have questions about the new boundaries, please contact your child’s school or BISD Student Services at 254-215-2078. The new boundaries will go into effect next school year.
***Families of elementary students impacted by a boundary change will be notified directly via email and postal letters around February 5, 2024. Additional information is available here: Frequently Asked Questions.
READ-A-THON STARTED JAN 29TH - Our annual Read-a-thon began on Monday, January 29th, and will run through February 9th. So far we have many students that have been sponsored and are reading lots of minutes! You can learn more about our Read-a-thon by clicking HERE.
- Read-a-thon Prizes:
- Read-a-thon Prize Store. Read-a-thon has a Prize Store, and students will earn back 15% of the donated funds they raise to shop the prize store. The more they raise, the more money they can use to shop the store. The prize store can be accessed through the student's online Read-a-thon account.
- Create/Register an online Read-a-thon Account - Students who create their online Read-a-thon account will receive a Magnetic Bookmark!
- Reading prizes!
- Read 250 Minutes - earn a PJ day. Students may wear school appropriate PJ's to school on a day approved by their teacher.
- Read 500 minutes - earn 1 free ice cream pass to use at lunch in the cafeteria.
- Read 1000 minutes - earn a Pizza Party with the Principal(s) (this will be scheduled after the read-a-thon has concluded).
- TOP 2 readers in each class - The top 2 readers in the class will receive a certificate and a prize selection from our "Jolly Trolly" Prize cart!
STUDENT LUNCHES - Families are welcome to eat lunch with their students any day of the week. We ask that all visitors bring their ID and sign in at the front office for a visitors pass. We do not allow food deliveries from any delivery service to the campus for students (ex. Doordash, Favor, Waiter, Grubhub). Parents/Guardians may drop food off in the front office for their student to enjoy, but we cannot accept food deliveries from a delivery service. Students who do not have a lunch from home are always allowed to eat a tray from the cafeteria.
PHOTO ID REMINDER - Our office staff will scan your photo ID every time you visit our campus.
Please make sure you are bringing a photo ID with you when checking in to eat lunch with your student, or when checking out your student. The safety of our students and our staff are a top priority and appreciate your understanding and assistance with this process. When exiting, we ask that you turn in your visitor badge with our front office to be signed out.

✔️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS
BIRTHDAY TREATS AND FAVOR BAGS - Birthday treats MUST be pre-packaged, individually packed store bought items. Please do not bring any cakes, cupcakes, cookie cakes as they are not already individually wrapped from the store. Pre-packaged birthday treats or favor bags will be handed out at the end of the day and sent home with students for them to enjoy.
PHOTO ID REMINDER - Please make sure you are bringing a photo ID with you when checking in to eat lunch with your student, or when checking out your student. DISMISSAL TRANSPORTATION CHANGES - Please make sure you call our front office at 254-316-5000 no later than 2:00 p.m. for any dismissal transportation changes for your student. We will get a note down to your student's teacher to let them know of the change. Sometimes Teachers miss notes in backpacks or remind messages about dismissal changes so it is very important to notify the front office so that they can communicate those changes. Please also give our office a call if someone other than yourself (parent/guardian) will be checking out, or picking your student up early.

COLD WEATHER ATTIRE - As the weather gets colder and wet, please make sure to send students in cold weather appropriate clothing and outerwear. Items to consider sending your students to school in include: long sleeved tops, long pants, cold weather shoes, jackets, and gloves. Please make sure to LABEL all of your students gear.
