ESA Weekly Parent Update

11/7 - Teacher In-Service Day / Election Day - no school for students

11/8 - Coat Drive at ESA at 9:30 am (see the flyer for more information)

11/21 - 1/2 day for students - Parent Teacher Conferences

11/22 - Teacher In-Service Day - no school for students

11/23-11/24 - Thanksgiving Holiday - school and office are closed

What is PBIS?? PBIS or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools where all students succeed.

ESA staff is working on building a solid Tier 1 framework. Tier 1 practices and systems establish a foundation of regular, proactive support while preventing unwanted behaviors. These are universal supports provided to all students, school-wide.

Currently our staff is using Class Dojo to award scholars point for following school-wide expectations.

Here at ESA we encourage our scholars to SOAR every day.

A - Achievement

R- Respectful

We would love for families to fill out the Google form when a staff member has impacted you in a positive way, so we can celebrate them here at school.

A fun time was had by all who attended the Trunk or Treat at Chester Park this past Tuesday!

Students will continue to go outside for recess daily, please ensure that they are dressed appropriately for the weather. If you are in needed of a coat, please attend the Winter Coat Drive on Wednesday, November 8th at 9:30 am.

Invitations to join ESA's ClassTag were emailed out earlier this week. Please accept the invitation to join. ClassTag is the platform used by Chester Upland School District to distribute information. If you did not receive an invitation, please reach out to Mr. Tull in the front office with your update email address.

Students will be dismissed in their typical manner UNLESS A PARENT contacts the teacher or Mr. Tull. We cannot go by the word of students. Parents must connect with the teacher or Mr. Tull. For safety reasons, dismissal procedures cannot be changed after 2:30 p.m

If any of your parent contact information changes, please notify your child's homeroom teacher. We need your most up to date phone numbers in case of an emergency.
