Health Office
According to the CDC, cavities (also known as caries or tooth decay) are the most common chronic disease of childhood in the United States1. Untreated cavities can cause pain and infections that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. Children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don’t. The good news is that cavities are preventable. Have your child brush teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste. Monitor your child’s brushing to ensure good technique. Visit the dentist regularly. Drink tap water that contains fluoride.

PTA
Why Do We Fundraise?!?!
Funds directly support our classrooms, students and school. Each year, teachers are given a check to buy what they need to best teach our kids. We also buy library books, music supplies, gym and recess supplies, art materials, provide assemblies, support field trips, have community building events, and so much more! Our school would NOT run the way it does without the funds raised by our PTA!
We know no one wants to sell wrapping paper or fruit!
If you were unable to attend this event and still want to give back to our school community you can donate directly to our PTA (or if you just want to make a tax deductable donation)

Dismissal Procedures
DISMISSAL
If you are driving to pick up your child and you notice that your child’s grade level is not yet outside, please make another loop around the parking lot rather than waiting in the loading lane.
When you enter the loading zone, please remain in your car. Your child will enter the car on the passenger side. If your child is unable to get into the car on their own, we ask that you park in the parking lot and then walk to pick up your child. Exiting the car at any time in the loading zone puts you and others at risk as cars pull out of the loading zone to exit.
School day ends at 4pm, our stagger dismissal starts at 3:55pm. We appreciate that all Parent Pickups please pick up your Brimhall Student no later then 4:10pm. We have been experiencing really late pickups the past couple of weeks.
- If you are parking and walking to the main entrance, you need to park ONLY in marked parking spaces. Please DO NOT park along the lanes. If there are no parking spaces in your first drive through, you can use the connecting lane to circle around a second time. Use the marked sidewalks and crosswalks to walk your child to the main entrance (Door number 1).
CHANGES TO YOUR CHILD’S DISMISSAL ROUTINE
Any changes to your child’s dismissal routine MUST be communicated to the school by 1:30pm. This is important. It will allow us to make sure that your child is where they need to be at dismissal.
CONTACTING THE SCHOOL
If you call to talk to your teacher during school hours, you will be transferred to their voicemail. Please leave a message for your child’s teacher and they will get back to you within 24 hours. We are doing everything we can to create a distraction free learning environment to allow our staff and students to focus on learning and teaching. If there is urgent information that a teacher needs to know, you can give that information to our front office staff and we will pass the message on.
