From the Principal's Desk..

Dear Larson Families,

Our November newsletter is full of information on the upcoming events for November and the beginning of December. The holidays are fast approaching, and we look forward to seeing our families at all the activities we have planned!

First, thank you for your remarkable turn out at our Fall Festival, and your incredible participation in Parent Teacher Conferences this year. Our school would not be the wonderful place it is without your continued partnership and support.

We are so excited to have Friday as our only non-bus day. We thank you for your patience as we look forward to what we hope will be a return to 5 day a week bussing soon.

There will be NO School on November 11th. Happy Veteran’s Day! Thank you to all our Veterans in our community. We honor you.

There will also be No School on November 24 & 25 as we break for Thanksgiving. We wish all our families a wonderful holiday filled with plenty of time spent with family and friends.

On behalf of our entire staff, I want to say how thankful we are that you are all a part of our Larson Family! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

5th Grade Veteran's Day Performance, November 9th!

In honor of our Veterans, the fifth graders will be putting on a performance for Larson students, family, and community members. The performance will be held on Wednesday, November 9th at 10:15am - 10:45am. Please join us if you can!

No School on Friday, November 11th!

There will be no school on Friday, November 11th due to a Teacher/Staff Professional Development Day. Enjoy your day!

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program, November 16th!

Miss Lamont and Mrs. Taylor's kindergarten classes are hosting a Thanksgiving program for kindergarten parents and family members. The program will be on Wednesday, November 16th from 2:40pm -3:10pm. We hope to see you there!

8th Annual Title I Holiday Craft Night, December 2nd!

BREAK OUT THE GLUE GUNS! Join us on Friday, December 2nd from 5:30pm - 7:00pm for our annual Title I Holiday Craft Night. Please stop by the gym while you are here to learn more about Title I at Larson! This is always a creative and fun event for the whole family. Some lucky winners will be going home with holiday turkeys and hams!

Holiday Band/Choir Concert on December 15th!

Join us on Thursday, December 15th at 6:30pm for our Band/Choir concert. Our hard-working band and choir students are looking forward to spreading some holiday cheer!

3rd Grade Holiday Performance on December 16th!

On Friday, December 16th students will get into the holiday spirit at the 3rd Grade Holiday Music Performance. Larson families are invited to attend one of the time slots that works for them:

10:10am - 4th and 5th Grade Classes
2:35pm - Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade

Texas Roadhouse Fresh Baked Rolls Fundraiser!

GET THESE DELICIOUS ROLLS JUST IN TIME FOR THANKSGIVING! The Texas Roadhouse Rolls fundraiser runs through November 9th. A dozen rolls is $8.00 and a container of the delicious honey butter is $2.00. Order forms were sent home with students. If you need extra forms, please let the front office know. Pick-up will be on Thursday, November 17th and Friday, November 18th from 4pm-6pm in the Larson bus loop. All proceeds benefit the Larson Behavior Support Program (BSP).

Get Involved with the Larson Family Teacher Association!

Come hear about all the AWESOME things that the FTA does for Larson Elementary! Get involved, meet new people, and have fun! Join us for the next FTA Meeting on Thursday, November 17th at 4:15pm in the Larson library.

Buses are Back up and Running on Mondays!

As of October 24th, busses are back at Larson on Mondays. Fridays remain our ONLY NON-BUS DAY. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during the bus outages.
