When you open the weekly bulletin email, click on the bulletin. It will open in a new page. At the top right side there is a button that says "translate." You can choose whichever language you prefer and it will translate the weekly bulletin for you.

If you need to make a change to your student's transportation or report an absence, please send an email to deercreekparent@ttsd.k12.or.us. The deercreekparent email account has been set up for emails only from parents/guardians and are easily seen for updates. Please do not use the deercreekoffice or dcoffice email address because information can get easily missed. Thank you for your help with this!

Students are invited to enter the Yearbook Cover Contest! Here are the guidelines:

• Artwork must be on an 8.5" x 11" paper, PORTRAIT orientation (tall)
• Cover art must include the words "Deer Creek Elementary" and the year "2023-2024" (Make sure everything is spelled correctly!)
• Write student's name, grade, and teacher on the BACK of the artwork in pencil (or in the body of the email if submitted electronically).
• Bright, bold colors show up best. Feel free to use any medium (crayon, paint, markers, colored pencils, etc.).
• Designs must be original and should reflect Deer Creek, our school, and our community.

Artwork must meet all the above criteria to be considered for the Cover Contest. Students will vote on their favorites, and the winning design will be featured on the yearbook cover. The other designs will be featured on the back. Students may submit their designs to their teacher, or email a hi-res image of their artwork to yearbook@deercreekpso.org BY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15.

Student safety is one of our top priorities at Deer Creek. As we know, the traffic during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal can be pretty hectic. With that said, please do not unload or load your child(ren) into a car on 131st Ave. Please choose to use the pull through pick up line in our parking lot, park in the lot, or park in the neighborhood and retrieve your child(ren) there. Thank you for your understanding.

TTSD and LifeStance Health have partnered to improve student access to mental health services. The LifeStance Health School-Based Program is dedicated to providing quality therapeutic services to schools while removing barriers for students and families by placing therapists in district buildings. School-Based Therapists treat mental health conditions which can include depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or substance use issues.

Services are billed through OHP and most insurance plans.

LifeStance Health serves all TTSD students K-12 out of two locations:

1. Tigard High School

2. Byrom Elementary/Tualatin High School

Asociación entre TTSD y LifeStance Health

TTSD y LifeStance Health se han asociado para mejorar el acceso de los estudiantes a los servicios de salud mental. Volunteer process:

We are very fortunate to have wonderful community members and families who want to be part of our students' education by volunteering! With that comes the responsibility of making sure our schools and students are safe at all times.

Anyone seeking to be a volunteer for our schools and or buildings needs to be background checked and offered the vector training. If a community member and or parent wants to volunteer, they have to go through the volunteer process and be cleared before doing so.

Volunteers and after school events:

The volunteer process must be followed if the person will be interacting with our students. Whether the volunteering will take place during school or after school, the parent/community member must undergo the volunteer requirements as outlined on our website. This includes all school and or PTO/PSO sponsored events.

Background checks:
We are very busy with background checks for new hires and volunteers. Please get your volunteer applications submitted sooner than later so you are approved for activities throughout the year. Volunteer applications are good for 3 years, this includes the background check and the training.

Covid Vaccine Cards are no longer required!
