Additionally, please be mindful that AP5121 also states "Teachers must return graded papers and assignments within ten days of submission in order to provide on-going, timely feedback to students and parents."
Recent Concerns
Cell Phones and Portable Electronic Devices
We have noticed an increase in the amount of cell phones not being placed in lockers during arrival. Please remember that CMIT is a no cell phone school. Scholars are to place their cell phones in their lockers when they arrive to school and keep them there for the duration of the school day. Students who are found to have their cell phones, must submit them to the requesting adult so that they can be turned in to the front desk. Please support us by reminding scholars of this school-wide expectation. Please reference Administrative Procedure 5132 regarding PED usage during the school day
Inappropriate Websites
Teachers have noticed that scholars tend to deviate from websites they are being asked to use in class. Hapara is used to manage and monitor student activity on their chromebooks. Please remind students that they are to work only on websites their teachers are asking them to access.
Dismissal
Our dismissal process begins at 2:49 pm daily. All scholars must be out of the building by 3:15 pm, unless participating in an after-school activity. Additionally, those students who are staying after-school must report directly to their program. Students are not allowed to loiter or leave the property and return, as it poses a safety concern related to student supervision.
We appreciate your attention and cooperation in ensuring that CMIT provides an environment conducive to learning and safety for all!
Make Up Picture Day
Make up day will be January 26th. Students should wear their oxford uniform. Please see the order form attached.

Math Corner
Shout out to the 6th Grade Teachers and Scholars for having the highest completion of their IXL Diagnostics during Tiger Time!
Why do we use IXL?
IXL provides scholars with recommended skills that is specific to their individual learning needs. After taking the math diagnostics, scholars are able to work on closing their learning gap, advancing their understanding in math, and/or practice current math skills. Have students make ixl.com apart of their study plan.
