REMOTE LEARNER PICTURE DAY
Remote Picture Day will be October 26 from 7:30 am to 4 pm at Urbandale High School. Since this is an In-Service day for staff and a no school day for students, we will not need to worry about coming into contact with others and the building will have been cleaned prior to the weekend.
Pictures will be taken in the commons area. You will enter through the front doors and staff will be there to greet you and get you where you need to go. An order form will be sent home with student supplies Friday, Oct. 16 and a reminder will be sent out Friday Oct. 23.

The 2020 Valerius Virtual Fun Run is looking for a few more sponsors! If you own or have a connection to a local business, please share this opportunity with them to support our one big fundraiser for our school for the year. A $250 donation gets a company logo on our fun run t-shirts! *Deadline is October 7th to be included on the t-shirt design!
Flyers for student incentives and our official fundraising kick-off video will go out to families next week. We look forward to having some fun with this virtual event while we raise money to encourage kids, connect families and serve Valerius!

FREE MEALS THROUGH DECEMBER 31st!
We officially have been approved to transition back to our Summer Food Program on 9/14. This means every enrolled student will be able to grab a breakfast and a lunch free of charge no matter what their eligibility status is. This will run through December 31st or until the federal funding runs out.
Our Meals2Go pickup will continue at the following sites: Webster, Middle School and High School on Thursdays only. Virtual only students will receive 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches, when requested through thisform. Hybrid students will receive either 4 or 5 breakfasts and lunches. These meals can be requested through this form.
UCSD is also partnering with UCAN to provide weekend meals for anyone under the age of 18 on Friday at Cross Creek and Timberline.
Families are still encouraged to apply for the free and reduced meal program as it assists in more than just the meals. Students who do qualify can also qualify for partial or full waiver fees. I can help families apply if thats a barrier!
