Welcome Back!
Waunakee High School Vocal Music
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year. I am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm for learning and music-making with you.
Click this link for a 2022-23 Syllabus, Calendar of events and concert attire information for your review and records. Please take time to look carefully at the Concert Attendance Policy and the concert attire so that you are prepared well in advance for concert participation. The performing arts calendar on the district website is also a good source for concert information (click on the link and click on the "performing arts" tab). Our first concert is Monday, December 12th, so there is plenty of time to prepare!
Throughout the year, do not hesitate to e-mail or call if any questions arise. I will also send out choir newsletters periodically via Infinite Campus so please keep your contact information up to date in the Infinite Campus Portal. If you would prefer to have hard copies sent home with your son/daughter, please email mollypetroff@waunakee.k12.wi.us or call with that request.

Special Opportunity for 10-12 grade Choir members!
The music teachers of the badger conference host one of the few truly collaborative and uncompetitive events for our students every other year. Our honors choirs, bands and orchestras allow our students the opportunity to connect with other students that share their passions, and work collaboratively rather than competitively to create music at a high level.
This year's event will take place on Monday, October 17 on the UW-Madison campus in the Hamel Music Center. Our guest conductors will be Dr. Mariana Farah (Dean Witter School of Music) and Dr. Chris McGinley (UW-Eau Claire). Students will be expected to prepare and practice music before the event. They will rehearse throughout the day, have lunch and dinner with peers, and share a concert for friends and family that night in the Hamel Music Center at 7:30 pm.
If interested, please see Ms. Petroff for an application.
