If you are a senior or a parent of a senior, below is a link to the annual Senior Letter. This letter was sent directly to all senior parents and students. It contains all the important information you'll need for end-of-year activities, graduation, and more.

This month Beckman will be administering the CAASPP and CAST assessments to all juniors. these tests are annual assessments that help gauge where we, as a school, are improving or where we can focus additional resources. In order to accommodate the timing needs of the assessment, we will be utilizing two weeks of block scheduling. Please see below for the schedule we will be utilizing.

March was National Athletic Training Month, a month of advocacy and recognition for the athletic training profession. If you aren't aware what an athletic trainer is, in short, an AT is a healthcare professional who specializes in the prevention, recognition, and treatment of athletic injuries and conditions. Here at Beckman my job as the head athletic trainer is to provide the athletic health care and rehabilitation for all of our Beckman student athletes.

As a part of NATM we wanted to share a spotlight of a Beckman grad who is now out working as a full-time athletic trainer. She went through the pathway here at Beckman and it really made an impact. Arden Weninger, BHS Class of 2018, went to TCU after graduation as an athletic training major. She has completed that program, and last May became certified and licensed in the state of Texas. She is now working as the athletic trainer for the Texas State Women's Volleyball Team, and is earning her masters degree in Exercise Science in the process.

Beckman brought 7 routines and 3 soloists to Nationals and for the first time ever, ALL SEVEN routines made it into the Finals. 4 of those routines placed 1st place bringing home 4 National Titles and 4 banners! The other 3 routines placed 2nd to really amazing and deserving schools. Out of over 100 soloists in the Super Dancer division, Maliya Ninofranco (senior) placed 7th, and Maya Krajicek (senior) placed 1st! In the Solo Champion division, our soloist Sophia Oppegard (junior) placed 2nd! Maliya Ninofranco won 1st place for the Drill Down and our Medium Dance routine was the highest-scoring routine in the entire competition. We also placed 1st Runner Up Grand Champions!

Additionally, Beckman won the Sportsmanship Award!!! The schools that attend the event vote for the team they believe should win this award. It goes to teams that display kindness, support, and love for other teams so much so to be voted on for this award. Congrats to our team!!!

The Beckman High School production of The Addam's Family musical was a tremendous success. The students closed out their run in early March having put on eight shows to audiences of all ages. From start to finish, both staff and students had an amazing experience and created memories that will last a lifetime. Congratulations to all the members of the production team!
