Zebra Family Update!
June 2022
Summer is Here!
Hello Zebra Families! It's been a pretty crazy year, but the end is within sight! Speaking for myself, I'm grateful for all the opportunities to interact with your students this year, to learn about their experiences, and to be a part of their lives. This year certainly presented us with many unexpected challenges, and I am proud of how we've overcome so many together.
It's easy to focus on the difficulties, but as we look to end the 22/23 year, I would like to highlight a few moments that made this year exceptional and one to be proud of:
- we have had a banner year with athletics. We had multiple teams succeed in winning our league's titles. In addition, we represented Lincoln High School at the Sections, Masters, and State Levels in multiple boys and girls athletics. Incredible!
- we have dozens of students who played a sport in every season - most of whom did so while maintaining exceptional GPAs!
- we have over 20 seniors who will be attending college to play their favorite sports - this is the most that we have recorded in the history of our school!
- we distributed over $206,000 in scholarships to members of the Class of 2022!
- we have members of our class joining every branch of service after graduation, and a student who will be attending the US Air Force Academy this fall
- 68 seniors are graduating with their Seal of Biliteracy in English alongside Spanish or French, and one student earned a double seal in Spanish AND French!
- hundreds of our graduates are finishing high school with all their A-G courses completed (making them eligible to apply to a CSU or UC school), honor cord (for excellence in academic GPA), CTE pathway completion (3 or 4 year commitment to one of 12 CTE programs), or Golden State Merit Seal (3.0+ excellence in 6 academic areas for all of high school)
- we distributed over 120 pins for academic excellence to students in grades 9-12
- we got back to "normal" with plays, performances, concerts, arts showcases and more!
- we held rallies, dances, lunch activities, and more!
We are proud of all of our Zebras for getting through this difficult year. We are excited to launch next year and make it the best yet!
Is your Zebra participating in Athletics next year?
We are very excited to announce that the Lincoln High School’s Athletic Department has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time.
You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.
Click on the Parent Playbook (click here: https://bit.ly/FFParentPlaybook) to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom and click “Use Support”.
We are asking that ALL parents of athletes use FinalForms.
Please register at: https://westernplacer-ca.finalforms.com/ and follow the prompts to create your account, create your students and sign your forms.
Thank you for your assistance in streamlining our paperwork processes at Lincoln High School.
