Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings
Thanks for a Sweet Night of Memories!
Last Friday evening we welcomed Bears and their Special Someones to the Sweetheart Dance. Close to 200 guests walked up the pathway of hearts and danced under the twinkling lights in the gym. We hope you all had a lovely time dancing and spending time with your children.
This special night wouldn't have been possible without the help of many important people and their contributions. Thank you to:
- Wegmans keeping us hydrated with their donation of water
- Randazzo's Bakery for contributing trays of cookies & all of the BGS families who contributed other sweet treats and goodies to keep our bellies filled
- Samuel DeJesus, our photographer from the High School, for helping to capture special photos of the evening
- Cheesecake Factory for donating our generous door prize
- DJ Skip who kept the music playing so we could dance the night away
- The BRHS Key Club who provided volunteers to help with set up and clean up, as well as helping during the event so parents could enjoy time with their special Bears
- Mrs. Rose for extending her day to help out with set up and decorations
- BGS Alumni, Matthew George & Leena Bartlett, for helping run the door prizes
Special thanks to our co-chairs, Sally Bartlett and Melinda Harz, for volunteering to run this event and making the night memorable for all who joined us! This event wouldn't have been possible without you!
Congratulations to Our Box Tops Winners!
Our Box Tops Contest has drawn to an end and all of the labels have been counted! In all, the Bears collected enough box tops to earn $670 for BGS - that's almost $100 more than last year's contest. Thanks for your support!
Congratulations to our top-collecting classes:
1st Place - Ms. Whalen 950 Box Tops
3rd Place - Mrs. Rose 481 Box Tops
4th Place - Ms. McNulty & Mrs. McLaughlin 458 Box Tops
5th Place - Mrs. Bohen 436 Box Tops
Ms. Whalen's class will be receiving a popcorn and movie party - congrats!
Special thanks to our Box Tops chair, Christine Kedziora, and her family for helping to sort, count, and submit our collected labels.
Help Us Choose the Name of Our Signature Drink for Barnes & Noble Night
Stop by the Bridgewater Barnes & Noble Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 4 - 7 PM to support Bradley Gardens. We'll have guest readers throughout the evening, pizza & snacks available for purchase at the Café, and a portion of all purchases sold that evening will help to support BGS.
The votes are in and the fourth graders have created your signature drink for the Barnes & Noble book fair on February 26th.
Our Frappuccino is a strawberry base with a complementary flavor of chocolate with chocolate chips, whipped cream and school color sprinkles.
The younger grades have suggested several names for our signature drink. Now it's your turn. Please help us chose the winner by voting between now and Wednesday, February 20th. Just click here. Then come out on February 26th to see which name is the winner!
If you can help out at our spirit table during the event, grab a small shift here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090A4DA4AE28A0FB6-barnes

COOKIES! COOKIES! COOKIES FOR SALE!
Girl Scouts Troop 61213, made up of 13 Bradley Gardens School fourth graders, will be selling cookies through month of February, with delivery expected in March. In its fifth year now, the troop has completed several local community service projects such giving cookie donations to veterans, creating care packages for active military members, collecting items for displaced children and teens, bringing holiday song books and singing with residents at an assisted living center, and shopping for a family in need for the holidays.
Please consider supporting BGS Troop 61213 by buying cookies or by donating your purchase to veterans, by contacting troop parent and volunteer product manager, Randi Klein at rckwithani@yahoo.com or 908-202-6673.
