In February, students celebrate Black History Month, President's Day, and Valentine's Day. In addition, during the month of February students will work together to earn a STEM Day. Students can earn STEM Day by receiving class compliments. Once classes have collectively received 25 class compliments, they will participate in a STEM Day. On STEM Day, students will combine with other classes to create and build using STEM materials.

Valentines Day Parties will be held on February 14th at 1:45. The PTO is coordinating room parents for the parties. Students are encouraged to bring a Valentine's Day card for each of their classmates. If students want to include a small item with their card like pencils, erasers, bracelets, temporary tattoos, etc. that is fine. However, please refrain from sending food and/or candy due to student allergies.

Since returning from winter break students have been reviewing school-wide expectations and the Zones of Regulation. This month students will continue to review the four zones and what feelings and emotions are associated with each zone. Students will also be reviewing the tools they can use when experiencing big emotions. These tools will help them regulate their emotions and calm their bodies so they can learn.

On February 8th, HR Imaging will be taking two poses of each student. Those images will be available for parents to view and order online.

Please note:

• Students will leave the camera with a card instructing their parents to sign-up for an e-mail notification when their pictures go online.
• Parents will have a two week window to order, and have their package sent to school for distribution. After the two week window closes, parents can order (until 12/31/24), but will have packages mailed home.

It is time to order your child's yearbook. Yearbooks cost $11.00 each. Orders are due by April 1, 2024.
