Did you know that our schools' funding is tied directly to how many students we have? It is also dependent upon how many students are present in our attendance 3 specific times a year. This week marks one of those importance attendance weeks. Please make sure that your child is here every day and on time so we can get the funding that is tied to their attendance!

Thank you for being extra aware this week of your child being at school and on time.

In addition to the Red Party, our NJHS members will be hosting their Clothing Swap in the Blue Tang room at the same time. Please dance on by to see what clothes are available to take with you. All left over items plan on being donated to the local homeless shelter.

Beginning this Friday, Feb 9th (for some classrooms) Feb 16th and Feb 23rd we will host our last set of conferences for the school year. These are required by your Family School Commitment, so if you are unable to make the scheduled days, please reach out to your Lead Guides. Links are coming soon, so watch your emails.

Also note that these are noon dismissal days. We do provide aftercare for Kindergarten-8th grade at our normal aftercare rates. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.

We want to congratulate May Sands Montessori's Community Foundation Unsung Hero Award Winner Ms. Helen Rebane. She was nominated for this honor because she is a long-standing member of our school community. For six years, even long after her daughter graduated. Helen has brought pizzazz to school fundraisers with her amazing sense of style and artistry. She's up for anything that supports our school- calling Bingo, donating her handmade glass jewelry for auction and raffle prizes, selling cookies, planning events and contacting businesses around town for donations.

From the bottom of our hearts and with so much gratitude, we thank you Helen!

Our Early Secondary students have officially opened the school store! From fun stickers, to pens, pencils, notebooks and more! All prices range between $0.50 to $3.00, depending on what we have in stock. The store will be open for 1st-8th grades during their lunch and recess time Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.

Our Primary friends will be able to make purchases at dismissal on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they exit the Primary playground.

The NJHS will be selling Candy Grams for Valentines Day. They will be between $1.00-$2.00 each and will be on sale during the school store hours. If you would like to purchase in bulk (like for your child's whole classroom) please contact Ms. Brooke.

They will be distributed during dismissal on Feb. 14th.

Does your child sing, dance, play a musical instrument, are they an aspiring comedian or have a hidden talent they would like to share? May Sands Montessori is holding its first annual talent show February 29th! Please have your child let their Lead Guide know they are interested in participating. More information below!
