Army Trail Remote Learning Update

The ASD4 Board of Education voted to approve an updated Return to In-Person Learning Plan. The presentation slides and the plan document are attached for your review. The focus of this plan continues to be for our students to safely return to in-person learning.

Please review the In-Person Learning Plan and contact your child’s school principal if you have any questions. We will communicate final timelines for students to return no later than October 12, 2020.

We need every parent/guardian to complete a new survey to indicate your choice for your child to participate in either Option 1: Hybrid Learning or continue with Option 2: Remote Learning. Parents are also asked to indicate if their child will need general education bus transportation, which is limited to Ardmore, Fullerton, Indian Trail, Lake Park, and Stone. Every parent is asked to complete the Parent Commitment Form in Skyward for each child no later than October 7, 2020. Instructions for filling out the Parent Commitment Form can be found here.

The Army Trail Library is excited to allow students to place library books on hold using their Chromebooks! Please review the links below to learn about this process. Students may check out two library books at a time and read them for up to two weeks. Once a student places a book on hold and is ready for pick-up, parents will be contacted through Remind. Books will be picked up and dropped off at Door 1 in the vestibule during student attendance days from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the vestibule, there will a library cart where the books/holds will be… look for the ones with your student’s name on them! Additionally, there will be a bin by the library cart where books should be returned. Students must return previous library books when picking up their new holds.

If your students are having trouble signing into Zoom Meetings, please follow the directions linked below. Please do not contact the school office or your child's teacher until you have tried these steps.

Logging into Zoom

If your child's Chromebook is experiencing issues, we have found in most instances. A Hard Reset will fix whatever issue your student's Chromebook is undergoing. Please use this video, which will show you how to perform a Hard Reset to the Chromebook. If your child's Chromebook still isn't working properly after conducting the Hard Reset, please have them reach out to their classroom teacher, who will provide them with the next steps in this process.

• Food will be provided from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday, starting on Sept. 2
• Five days worth of meals will be distributed (five breakfasts and five lunches)
• Menus will be posted on district website each month
