Principal's Message
Hope you enjoyed the snow this weekend! We are now more than halfway through the school year and time continues to fly by us. You should have received 1st semester grades in the mail by now. You can also check grades online through Synergy StudentVue or ParentVue. We have also reached out to families with students who failed 1 or more classes this semester. We want to ensure all students have a plan to be successful 2nd semester.
We are extending our after school support to Thursdays! We are also providing transportation home for students who stay after school Mondays - Thursdays beginning this Thursday, February 14th. Academic support will now run M-TH from 2:30pm - 3:30pm. Students can sign up for a bus ride home in the office up until noon on the day they would like to remain after school. We are excited to extend our after school support and transportation home so more students can get the academic support they need to be successful.
We wrapped up our middle school visits last week and I am impressed with the students who spoke with 8th graders around our district and our World Music Program who performed for 4 middle schools over the course of 2 days. We are excited to welcome a new group of 9th graders next year. As a reminder, we accept applications for current high school students on an ongoing basis and enroll students, as space becomes available, at each semester. If you know of someone who would like to attend Springwater, encourage the student to submit an application and/or to reach out to the school with questions.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s teachers, the main office, or me by phone or email if you have questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Ryan Blaszak

A few things to keep in mind:
- Please submit 4 - 8 photos.
- If you are submitting physical photos, please put them in an envelope with your students' name on them so that we can return them to you via your student.
- Please do not submit photos of photos.
- If you do not want to turn in a physical copy of a picture, please scan your photos and send them digitally to weber18@gresham.k12.or.us

Opportunity for Springwater Trail High School Families!
International Cultural Exchanges Services is looking for loving host families for students from all over the world wanting to study in the US. Students are here for the entire school year or just one semester.
As a host family you provide basic room and board and a loving home. The students come with their own health insurance and spending money for all personal expenses and school lunches. All host family dynamics are welcome! A trained local coordinator provides excellent support for both family and student.
To learn more about the benefits contact ICES Regional Director Kari Hampton at khampton@icesusa.org or 503-724-2308.
