Universal Mental Health Screening (BIMAS-2) for 9th grade students
In our continuing efforts to support the well-being of our students, we will be administering a universal screener of social, emotional & behavioral health to our 9th grade students during the week of November 13th. Shawsheen will use the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System-2 (BIMAS-2) which is a research-based screening tool. We believe this will help all our students thrive academically and vocationally by identifying students who may benefit from additional social and emotional supports and interventions, much like some students benefit from additional academic supports and interventions. Please follow links below for more information:

Attention Class of 2024
The Shawsheen Tech Guidance Office created the following document: Senior College Planning Checklist as a tool to help you complete the steps required to apply to college. If you plan to apply to a 4-year college, please review the document and reach out to your counselor if you have any questions or need clarification. Counselors will be visiting students in Related to give a general overview of the college application process but a 1-1 appointment with your counselor is recommended, especially if you plan to apply to college with an “Early Action” deadline (typically on or around November 1st).
Middle School Visits
During October and November our recruitment team, which includes both staff and current students, will be visiting 8th grade students from our sending districts to spread the word about everything Shawsheen Tech has to offer.
