Principal Chat
Welcome back! I don't know about you guys, but I feel like I woke up this week and it was Monday and then, went to sleep and woke up and it was Friday.
We are deep into testing and are super excited to share your child's data on their middle of year progress reports. These will be sent home by January 21. An early peek shows us most kiddos have made some GREAT progress.
One final note - registration for the 2022-2023 school year for current students is complete. Students who have not completed the registration will have their spots released for the next year's lottery.
FOOD ADVISORY BOARD - We have space available on our CNP Advisory board. This position provides an avenue for parents to have input with our meal planning and food activities at school. Interested parties can send an email to Lani@BridgeCharter.org
Have a terrific weekend filled with lots of fun and laughter!

Recess Guidelines and Inclement Weather
Please make sure your child dresses accordingly for the weather – hats, coats, gloves and boots during wet and cold weather. We live in Utah where snow, ice and cold weather are inevitable. Students will be outside for recess and PE unless the “feels like” temperature is below 20° F or the precipitation (heavy snow or rain) will result in wet kids, or the winds are heavy enough that there is a chance of injury.
The school will follow the State’s recess guidelines regarding bad air days. All students will be kept inside for PE and recess during “red” days. Students at risk of respiratory issues will be kept inside during “yellow” days providing parents notify the teacher and the office.
We have purchased kid sized snow shovels and several plastic toboggans for kids to use on the playground. Although we do not have a hill, the toboggans have a rope for kids to put around their waist to pull their friends around. Hopefully we get enough snow that the kids can enjoy the field area once again. Perhaps you noticed it is 6' deep in water and it is currently off limits for our students.
Gum - Paper Towels - Return Clothing
PAPER TOWELS - We are in need of rolls of paper towels. If you are able to donate, please drop them off in the office and enter your in-kind donation ($3 per one hour of volunteer time) into our volunteer tracker. The volunteer tracker can be found at:
https://www.bridgecharter.org/volunteer-opportunities
RETURN CLOTHING - If your child has worn "Bridge Clothing" home please return these. All Bridge clothing items have "Bridge" written inside with a Sharpie. The laundry basket to return items is in the foyer near the front doors.
Lottery Opens January 24 - Siblings Pulled FIRST on February 8
Mad Science
The new round of Mad Science begins January 21. This program runs for six weeks on Fridays, 1:35 - 2:30 pm. The kids who participated in this hands-on science program during the previous session had an absolute BLAST! Mad Science is a private organization that rents space from Bridge. The cost is $79 for the 6 week program.
