Junior High News
Welcome Back!
We hope that you all had a relaxing break and are ready to start back tomorrow January 3rd 2024. A few reminders this week:
- Class resumes on Wednesday January 3rd for regular scheduled classes at 7:50am (A DAY)
- Our first scheduled early out for 2024 will be Friday January 12th
- No School on Monday January 15th MLK Day
- Boys Basketball, Cheer, and Girls Wrestling practice begins on Wednesday when we return 3:15 -5pm. Swimming will start January 8th for both girls and boys. All participants must have our electronic concussion and physical on file with our school nurse to be able to participate in practice and games.

- Second Semester will begin on January 16th and will only effect 8th grade students for FACS and Pre-Engineering.
We are exciting to see everyone back from break and wish you all a Happy New Year!

NS Junior High Track Camp
What:
A track and field camp teaching the basics of speed, hurdles, or throws.
The speed camp will focus on warming up properly, sprint form, and drills to help you be more explosive!
The hurdle camp will also focus on speed but is geared towards both beginner and more advanced hurdlers.
*NEW* The throws camp will focus on both shot put and discus and drills to improve form.
The high school girls and boys staff will be there to help you improve!
When: All camps will be held from 3:30 to 4:45 pm
Who:
Any North Scott Junior High student (boy or girl). If you are out for a school sport (boys basketball, girls wrestling, swimming) during this time, this is NOT for you.
Where:
On the turf in the North Scott Hitting Facility (located next to the HS baseball field). Students will have access to ride the activity bus home. Students can ride the afterschool bus from the JH to the HS and walk the rest of the way.
Cost: $40 (camp t-shirt is included)
