Dear Parents / Carers,
We have had a lovely week at school this week and it has been great to be able to be outside much more now that the weather has improved. Classes are starting to practice for sports day as well as taking other learning outside.
We have several classes going on trips and several events happening in these busy few weeks of term so please keep an eye out for emails and letters. Our summer fair this year will be after school on Friday 30th June. Please contact the Friends of Kirk Fenton committee if you are able to help out with setting up or tidying away before and after the event itself. The same day will be our annual 'Kirk Fenton does Pride' day where we celebrate the diversity of our school, our community and our world. Pupils will be invited to dress in bright clothes for the day in a way that celebrates who they are.
Finally, a reminder please to put suncream on your child before they come into school. We are unable to do this during the school day. Please also ensure that your child has a water bottle in school.
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams

We are really looking forward to the Summer Fair after school on Friday 30th June. We have some great stalls and games planned, but we really do need your help to get everything together, whether that's through volunteering time or helping to donate items.
We are looking for the support/donations for:
- Cake stand
- Alcohol tombola
- Teddy shy
- Book library
If you are able to bake, donate items or volunteer your time please let us know.
We are SO close to being able to fund new Chromebooks for the school, and any donations you can give will help get us over the line as we finish the year.

Robin Hood
The South Milford Memorial Playing Fields Association are welcoming the professional travelling theatre group Illyria back for the second year. South Milford park LS25 5AF. Please park away from the High Street to avoid facebook rage :-) We Hope to see you and your families there!

Feeling frazzled?
Feeling the heat and pressure of family life?
Join our Parenting courses & events to discover ways to stay cool and calm in the middle of it all.
Sunshine and blue skies beckon (although there are no guarantees with the British weather!). As the summer approaches, we look forward to cloudless skies, BBQ's and relaxing with friends and family. But as the temperatures rise, so can the heat in our family life! Tempers can fray with the longer days; our patience can be stretched to the limits with the season of school exams.
At Family Matters York, we understand!
We would love to support you and your family in helping you to stay cool this summer. We offer FREE parenting courses & events across the city to give you a safe space to learn and share ideas with others, to help make your family life more enjoyable this summer.
