Spring Auction
Attention Families!
We are raising funds for an outdoor playspace at OLMP School, as currently, the options for outdoor play and interaction are limited. We are going to be running an online spring auction from April 27-May 1 on Facebook, and we are putting a call out for silent auction donations! Every little bit helps, and we are SO very grateful!! At the Public Board meeting on March 16, 2022, the Board of Trustees approved the 2022-2023 School Year Calendars.

Jack Talks @ OLMP High School (Gr. 9-12)
Students in grades 9-12 will have Jack.org speakers present to them on April 11th, 13th and/or 14th. Who are Jack Talk speakers? Trained and certified youth speakers use the power of personal stories and mental health education to inspire, engage, educate, and equip young people to look out for themselves and their peers. Red Deer Polytechnic $2500 scholarship
Red Deer Polytechnic $2500 scholarship Students can earned a $2500 scholarship by submitting a 15 to 30 second TikTok video that shows their creativity and individuality as a student. Open to any students interested in applying to RDP in the Fall 2022.
Enriched Academy
Enriched Academy Scholarship
OLMP students have lifelong access to financial literacy training, learning about credit, stock market, RRSPs and TFSA’s etc through Enriched Academy. Students have been introduced to this resource in CALM 20.
A $1,000 or $500 scholarship may be earned by students completing their Enriched Academy lessons and submitting a video essay on the following topic:
What did you learn by completing the Enriched Academy program and how will it impact the way you manage your finances now and in your future?
Open to grades 10-12. Students must have completed all 8 modules of Enriched Academy (CALM)and have earned their completion certificate. Video submission is due by June 14th.

Summer School (SILC) For EICS Summer School 2022, we are pleased to offer in-person learning at our ABJ and SAB campuses. All courses will be in-person, with the exception of a handful of dedicated online courses, listed below. ***All courses are subject to cancellation due to low enrolment. Grade 11 Students: FREE MONEY!
Students in grade 11 (with an average of 75%) can earn $300-$500 when they apply for
U of L’s “Merit” scholarship. Students will be notified in October and the money can be applied to their tuition at the U of L. Why not apply?
Gr. 5 & 8 Insight Results are Available
Insight is a group-administered test of cognitive abilities, which was administered to all grade 5 and 8 classes in November. The assessment is designed to measure cognitive abilities including reasoning, comprehension, memory, and visual/auditory processing. The results provide information to help teachers recognize student strengths and challenges, and plan for additional support as needed. A Celebration of Catholic Education
2021-2022 Theme: Called to More
GrACE exists to inspire, invigorate and embolden the spirit of Catholic education in order
to unite, engage, educate and communicate with one voice on its behalf. GrACE, in partnership with the REAL Foundation, is happy to present this contest to EICS students. This is our fourth annual GrACE Contest: A Celebration of Catholic Education.
We invite EICS students of all grade levels to submit work reflecting the importance of, and their experience with or contribution to Catholic education. This year our theme is Called to More. How have students worked towards this theme, or how have they contributed to spreading the message of being called to more?
Student Submissions could include such things as (but not limited to):
*Please note, all digital submissions need to be in “view all” format before submitting.
A work of art
A student poster
A formal or informal essay
Original music
Poetry
A presentation (video or otherwise) of social justice work
etc
Contest Rules
All Submissions due to CLS by May 2 in digital format.
Prizes will be presented May 22 in each community’s parish (This is the kick-off to Catholic Education Week). There will be 14 prizes!
K-8 students = 50 dollar prize
9-12 students = 100 dollar prize

Roles and Processes
School Chaplains and teachers collect and judge at the school level - deadline to have submissions to School Chaplain April 27.
School Chaplains send on the contest submissions that were the top contenders at their school (you may send in as many as you wish) to Andrea Haston (andrea.haston@eics.ab.ca) at CLS by May 2.
EICS GrACE committee members judge and then present prizes at local parishes to the winners on May 22 to kick off Catholic Education week.
Items on display at the REAL Foundation golf tournament.
Chaplains: Keep a list of all students who submitted an entry. They will all receive a special thank you from the GrACE Committee.
