Parent Updates

Small Groups will begin soon!

Now that we have administered assessments, our teachers will begin working with small groups of students to build on student strengths and provide support in areas of academic need. In the next week or so, teachers will begin pulling small groups during RTI and/or asynchronous time. All students will participate in differentiated learning (small groups) during the RTI block as well as other times during the day.

Are you receiving our emails?

Our primary mode of communication is through email. If you are not getting our emails, please do the following:

Check your Spam/Junk folders / search for "donotreply@blackboard.com." All emails come from this address.
Mark R2 emails as Not spam.
Add the email address & http://blackboard.com to safe senders list.
Check with the registrar (Mrs. Dabbs) to make sure your email address is current in Power School.

Parent Portal

To monitor your student's grades and attendance, be sure you check Parent Portal regularly. You can also choose to have automated information shared with you through an email update, if you like. If you need help accessing Parent Portal, please contact us at (803) 462-3900.

Student Fees

Parents, if you have not already done so, please login to parent portal and check your student's fee account. You will see a technology insurance fee and yearly school fee.

The technology insurance fee has to be paid by September 30, 2020, in order to receive coverage for your device.

School fees cover our yearly software and other licensed items, as well as consumable supplies that help enrich our student learning experiences. School fees do consider the student's meal status. Students that qualify for reduced-price meals pay 40% of the fees charged and fees are waived for students who qualify for free meals. Any family with a financial hardship can request additional adjustments to our principal, Mrs. Eubanks.

Oops... You're on Camera!

Did you know that your conversations in the home can often be heard in a Google Meet? When background conversations are not kid-friendly, the student's microphone will be muted or the student will be temporarily removed from the classroom. Please be sure to provide your student with a quiet space away from noise and distractions.
