This week, we did some reflecting about the progress our students are making in relation to their learning goals and we are so impressed by their accomplishments. We recognize that this is not solely due to the work being done during the school day, but rather, because of your engagement and partnership with us to support your child. We can't thank you enough for your support and encouragement through the course of this school year so far. In order for us to further keep you connected to what is happening during the school day, one of our whole school goals as outlined in our strategic action plan is to provide feedback to you in a couple different ways. One, we want to celebrate and praise your child's accomplishments and want to communicate that to you as often as we can through notes home, digital messages, or via phone call. We hope these small acts reinforce the great traits that your child contributes to our school community. Secondly, we will be reporting your child's academic progress each week. Should you seek further information about those reports, please reach out to your child's teacher.

In order to help you all know what the week looks like, we will list it out clearly for you each week. REID days for are invited students and will change each week. Students are invited to REID days for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's to extend or challenge a student, and other times it might be to provide extra help on a particular skill. On those days, our doors open at 7:50 and dismissal is at 10:00am. If you have questions about this week's schedule, please let. us know!

We have a number of students who are arriving at school late each day. We really emphasize the importance of coming to school each day and on time to establish routine, consistency, and we don't want your child to miss important social and academic items that are so valuable to their school success. If there is a specific circumstance causing this for your family, please let us know so we can support you. Thank you.

Each month we choose to focus on one of our Standards of Excellence. Through this, we teach our students what it means to display these characteristics. Then we recognize members of our school community for exemplifying the trait. All of these help us to reach our school district's long term mission of equipping our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be resourceful and successful.

My School Bucks is an online payment service that provides parents the ability to securely pay for meals, monitor student cafeteria purchases, and receive email notifications for low account balances.
