Cross Country Running

Grades 4 & 5

We are excited to announce a great opportunity for our 4th and 5th grade students, CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING! These energetic students will be practicing for the next two weeks to prepare for their meet at Palmer High on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 3pm. We look forward to seeing them participate in the event. NEW this year, you can pay your sports fee online! Go to your ParentVue account and select "fees." Community Volleyball

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 6pm-8pm

This activity is open to all high school students and adults in the community. The students must attend with a responsible adult and someone who will be staying for the event. Please join us in the gym for a couple of hours of fun-filled volleyball.

Seward SeaLife Center

Nocturne Program

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022 all students and staff from Glacier View School are scheduled to attend the “Nocturne” program. This means we will be staying overnight in the SeaLife Center and returning home the next day. On our way home, we will tour the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. We will send out more details as the date gets closer!

Nocturne Programs

Enjoy an overnight adventure at the Alaska SeaLife Center! Students will spend the evening honing observation skills and participating in a hands-on marine science program. At night they'll fall asleep with the seabirds, sea lions, and seals. Each Nocturne Sleepover includes dinner, a light breakfast, plenty of time to explore the Alaska SeaLife Center, and one education program. Nocturnes start at 5pm and last until 9am the next morning.

We would like to resume meeting for the Glacier View PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization)! Our first meeting will be Monday, September 26th at 3:00pm. We will discuss things the PTO has been able to do in the past, and ideas for this coming school year. Come check it out - all welcome!
