Reflections from Pastor Jennifer
Continuing in our series, Grace. Period, we learned that Jesus was full of grace and truth. Therefore, we must operate using both grace and truth. Grace without truth is indulgent, but truth without grace is discouraging. I encourage you to read John 1 this week to learn more about Jesus who was fully God and fully man.
Operation Christmas Child
The month of June is designated as hair care items. If you want to get an early start, July is hygiene items. No glass containers or liquids are allowed in the boxes. Please consider donating money for shipping or shoeboxes to pack. Thanks so much!
July FSM
The sign up sheet is full! But if you didn't get the chance to sign up, any picnic/barbeque/cookout food is welcome. We are going to have hamburgers, hot dogs, and other cookout items for our July 3rd First Sunday Meal. Bring somebody with you!
Biney English and Family
We are excited to welcome Biney English and his family to sing for us on Saturday, July 23 at 6pm. This will be followed by a spaghetti supper for $5/person. The proceeds will be given to the English family. Invite friends and family who enjoy good food, fellowship, and music.
“It wasn’t supposed to be this way.”
We don’t always understand God’s will. And, if we’re being honest, there are occasional times when we don’t like His will, either.
When grief lands on our doorstep.
When we’re not sure if we can cope.
When we think about what could have been.
Wrestling with our deepest pain is hard. But if the Bible doesn’t hide stories about suffering, neither should we.
Whatever you’re facing right now—it’s not the end of your story. God is with you, and always will be.
