September 22: Two-hour early dismissal (12:30PM)
September 23: Professional Day for Staff (no school for students)
Panther Prowl 5K Run/Walk for MBMS
Date: Saturday, October 22, 2022
Location: Start and Finish at Laurel Grove Park via the Three Notch Trail
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Margaret Brent Middle School’s MTSS team
Event Times:
● 7:00-8:00am Race Day Check-In and Packet Pick-Up (Packets can be sent home with a student, if requested.)
● 8:15am 1 Mile Fun Run
● 8:35-40am 5K Run/Walk
● 10:00am Raffle Drawings and Awards Ceremony

Mount Vernon Field Trip- 8th Grade
The 8th Grade Mount Vernon Field Trip forms and payment are due no later Friday, September 30. Mrs. Poston's classes will be attending Monday, October 17 and Mrs. Shelko's classes will be attending Tuesday, October 18.

While meals are not free for all students, SMCPS is still offering the free and reduced meal program based on the status determined from the meal benefit application. Students who qualify based on income or direct certification will still receive free or reduced meals this school year. A new application must be submitted for this school year to qualify. MBMS PTO Corner
We've made it to the end of the 2nd week of our Joe Corbi's fundraiser. We have 35 students registered online. You can earn FREE money just for registering!!! Doing the fundraiser online will allow you to reach friends and family who live far away since the items can be shipped to them. The fundraiser ends on 9/16. Pickup is on 10/11 in the cafeteria from 5-7pm.
Our first member meeting will be on 9/14 at 3pm in the Media Center. For those members who cannot attend, we will post the itinerary on Facebook.
Our next Spirit Night will be at Bruster's in Hollywood on 9/26 from 6-8pm.
We have $10 Pizza Hotline gift cards for sale. If you are interested in purchasing, please email us.
