Boosters Corner
The Medina Athletic Boosters work to help our student-athletes on and off the field of play, but they aren’t the only students the Boosters are helping. On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Medina Athletic Boosters president Tom Delac, secretary Daniella Hensley, and concessions manager Autumn Giddens presented Medina High School Student Council members with a check for $20,000. This donation from the Boosters represents a portion of the proceeds from concession sales during the 2021 football season. “This is an ongoing partnership with the Boosters. Their generous support of the Student Council helps to partially fund prom and keep ticket prices to this event at an affordable cost for the students,” said Laura Calaiacovo, advisor of Student Council. Dr. Justin Brantner and the Junior Class Student Council representatives are already working hard on this year’s prom. Thanks to the most successful year in Medina's history, the Student Council and the Boosters were able to meet their goal this season.
The Boosters hosted the Positive Coaching Alliance for many of our senior and junior student-athlete leaders. In the third of this year’s four sessions, our Bees learned about Positive Initiation and the dangers of hazing. Special thanks to our sponsor of Medina’s PCA program, LLA Therapy.
Looking ahead to the spring, please send in your senior spring athlete’s pictures for the “Before They Were Bees” section for the next Athletic Program to boosters@medinabees.org. Please make sure to submit your pictures by March 18th to make sure they are in this spring’s publication.
