2023-24 BAY PORT 2ND SEMESTER ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
To help improve student safety and school security, Bay Port continues to be a closed campus during the school day. Only students excused by a parent/guardian or who are participating in a school sponsored activity are allowed to leave and return to school during the school day. Juniors and seniors are able to arrive late or leave early if their day begins or ends with a study hall. PIRATE Time is considered a scheduled class where attendance is required.
Students entering the building after 7:30 am need to use the main entrance and stop at the welcome desk to check in. All absences should be reported to the attendance office by calling 920-662-7248.
Thanks for your assistance in maintaining a safe campus.
STUDENT FEE ACCOUNTS
Attention Parents/Guardians: Emails were sent home Thursday, February 1st, for anyone with a student fee balance. Because we are halfway through the school year, as a courtesy we are also sending home hard copy invoices as well. If you already made your payment in the last day or so, please disregard the statement. If you have not seen it, please check the spam folder in your email.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Kathy Binon at 920-662-7246 or at kathbino@hssdschools.org.
COURSE REGISTRATION FOR SCIENCE CLASSES
Linked below you will find a letter from the science department to assist in course registration for 2024-25 science classes. Registration will take place in 9th grade study halls or PIRATE Time on February 5 and 6. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's science teacher.
BAY PORT SENIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES
The FAFSA form is officially open and ready for students and families to complete. If you would like help or support in filling out the FAFSA application, Bay Port will be offering a FAFSA informational night!
Date: Thursday, February 8, 2024
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Bay Port Library
Prior to coming to the meeting, it is important to sign up for a FSA ID account by February 2.
Below is a quick video of how to set up your FSA ID for the FAFSA. Both you and your parent(s) have to create an FSA ID to be able to submit a FAFSA with electronic signatures. Your account takes several days to verify. For this reason, we recommend you and your parents complete this step by Friday, February 2nd. Having an FSA ID created in advance will ensure we are able to start filling out the FAFSA during the event on Thursday, February 8th.
