On Monday, October 28, Bellevue Public Schools launched 61 new one-to-one classrooms. These educators successfully completed six days of Bellevue Public Schools BlendED Professional Training. We are excited for the teachers and students as they begin teaching and learning in a blended learning environment. During the training, teachers learned about the components of blended learning including digital workflow, blended learning models, targeting instruction with real-time data, collaboration, and creation. Last year we started our own #ipadacademy Twitter chat. The chat allows our teachers to have an online conversation, share ideas, and be inspired. Our #ipadacademy chats are held on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM CST. The next chat this year will be next week, Tuesday, November 13 and will be moderated by Santha Walters and Linda Dunlap with Amanda Monk serving as the greeter. Here is a link to the Google Doc with the questions. Just make a copy of the doc and add your answers. Copy/paste to save time when you are in the live chat.

We are incredibly proud of the #ipadacademy teachers who have stepped up to lead each month’s chat this semester and how they generously share their innovative ideas with others. The archived chats can be found here.

NETA continues to offer contests for teachers and students to showcase model projects, recognize outstanding student work and provide opportunities for teachers to attend the national ISTE summer conference to enhance professional practice. We also recognize outstanding leadership at the administrative and classroom levels through individual recognition awards. We do our best to truly have something for everyone!

In addition to any prizes specific to a particular contest, winning educators will receive a non-transferable, complimentary 2019 NETA Spring Conference registration and if a substitute is required, the winner’s school district will be reimbursed the actual cost for the substitute for both days of conference attendance.
