Principal's Message
As we round out our final days before the winter break, I want to wish everyone happy holidays. I hope you all get time to enjoy family and friends, as well as get a chance to rest. We have a wonderful community at Murwood and in Walnut Creek that continues to support student success now and in their future.
I also understand that this time of year can be a difficult time for many for a variety of reasons. As we enter this extended break, I want to share a link that has many resources that our school district has created for those might need some additional resources. Link:

End of Year Giving: Become a Monthly Donor Today!
Consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor for WCEF this year! Your monthly donation of any amount ensures that programs not funded by the state—like weekly art, music, science lab; our libraries; electives in middle and high school; the Las Lomas wellness center—will continue to be available at the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas. A small amount each month goes a long way towards the goal of elevating ALL our students! Become a monthly donor today.
There’s still to get your tree from Honey Bear Trees!
It’s not too late! The always popular Honey Bear Tree lot is back and supporting WCEF! Across from Acalanes High School in Lafayette, Honey Bear Trees has beautiful trees straight from Oregon—and free honey with your purchase! Mention WCEF when you check out and Honey Bear Trees will give 20% back. Delivery available and plenty of parking!
Open from 9am - 9pm, 7 days a week, Open through December 24; cash or check only.
