Notes From the Office

Now that we have pre-spring weather, I highly encourage you to keep an eye on the weather each morning. Our temperatures are expected to plummet again and our students should be prepared to go outside every day.

When should you keep your child home from school?

We are very fortunate to have a district nurse and health aides in each of our buildings. Our health aide, Mrs. Kellie Moser tends to the bumps and bruises at the Primary, as well as contacting parents when their child is sick.

When a child goes home with a fever, we require that they are fever free for 24 hours with out fever reducing medicine. But what should you do when there is another illness? Attached are guidelines to help families know when a child should stay home.

Jump-a-thon (FIRST GRADE ONLY)

This year, the annual Jump-a-thon will occur during scheduled PE classes giving all of our students the opporunity to jump in the Kids Heart Challenge! We are excited to move this from the weekend so that all kids can participate.

Bean Art

Hacienda Restaurant recently reached out to the Primary and asked us to help decorate some pictures with dried beans. They will use the pictures decorate their restaurant this spring. Pictured is a small group of students that helped decorate the pictures.
