A NOTE FROM MRS. RAWLINS
Dear Sloan Creek Families,
We loved having our students back at school this week and hope you all enjoyed the Fall Break and beautiful weather!
There are so many FUN things to look forward to during the next couple of weeks, so hold on tight and enjoy this week's newsletter packed with new information.
You should have received a Bright Arrow message today with important information about MAP Growth Reports coming home today and how to access Q1 Report Cards in PowerSchool tomorrow (Friday). Not receiving Bright Arrow messages? Please check your settings in PowerSchool to receive text messages and/or emails.
Upcoming events next week include Red Ribbon Week, Celebrate Sloan, See You at the Creek, Coffee with the Principals, and Leopard Friday! Please keep scrolling for details about all of these exciting events.
Finally, we need your help in the dismissal carline. Unless you are a Denim & Diamonds or PTO Parking Spot holder, car riders are not released until all buses have exited the parking lot. All cars should be in the carline. If you arrive between 3:15 and 3:30, you will be in and out! Thank you for staying in your car and using the carline for pickup.
Thank you for your partnership in your child's education. As always, please reach out with any concerns or celebrations. We love hearing from you! ❤️
Sloan Creek PROUD,
❤️🐆 Megan Rawlins

CELEBRATE SLOAN - MONDAY, OCTOBER 23 AT 8:15 AM
PURPOSE: We are intentional about where we are going, what we are doing and why.
We are excited to host the first "Celebrate Sloan", a school-wide assembly bringing students, staff and families together for LIVE announcements, recognition of "Purpose" and "Leopard Leader" award winners, singing, dancing, teacher games and so much more!
If your child is receiving an award on Monday, you should have heard from their teacher this week and we hope you will join us to snap some photos of this special day! ❤️
SILVER SPOON AWARDS
A new incentive for all students!
Each week, a "winning" lunch period (A, B, C or D) will be chosen by our campus custodian, Mr. Jose Perez, and cafeteria monitors. The lunch period displaying exceptional PRIDE expectations will be rewarded with a fun treat such as lunchtime show on the big screen, music, or lunch in the Courtyard the following Friday.
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?
RED LEOPARD TICKET DRAWINGS
Each Friday we will draw 10 tickets from each grade level on morning announcements. Those students will visit the LEOPARD STORE to choose a prize!
LEOPARD PRIDE
Our students continue to discuss and understand the school-wide expectations for learning and behavior. They learned about having PRIDE in themselves, their school, and in everything they do!
Purpose- We are intentional about where we are going, what we are doing and why.

NEWS FROM OUR PTO
DISTRICT UPDATES
Lovejoy Families and Community Members:
The Annual Lovejoy Letter Campaign for teachers and staff members is just around the corner! Many of you are familiar with this beloved tradition, but for those of you who are not, it is the time of year when we write appreciation letters for each of our teachers and staff members across the District. The letters do not have to be elaborate or lengthy. The goal is for people to write a note of thanks to show appreciation to their teachers, the staff and our administration. It is the opportunity for us to take the time to let each person who makes a difference for us throughout the school year know how much we value them.
This year’s campaign will run from Monday October 23rd to Thursday November 9th.
Please place your letter in a clearly labeled envelope including the staff/teacher’s name, the campus and LLC (Lovejoy Letter Campaign). There will be collection boxes available at all campuses in the District. The last day for drop off is Thursday November 9th.
Please feel free to share this message as we spread the word about the campaign. Let’s show our teachers and staff just how much we appreciate them!
